OUR AMENITIES

We are located in the center of the State, one mile from Michigan's largest inland lake. Houghton Lake boasts some of the best Pike, Walleye, and Pan Fish fishing in the State. Houghton Lake is also the home to the Greatest Winter Carnival on Ice, Tip-Up-Town USA.

Wooded Acres Campground is located on the outskirts of Houghton Lake. We are located just close enough to town to enjoy all of the hustle and bustle of the stores, shops, craft shows, activities and night life as well as participate in all of the recreation the States largest inland lake has to offer. We are, however, far enough from town to offer you a quiet and peaceful setting amidst a very wooded, rustic setting. Because of our central location, it is just a short trip from home to setup base camp and then take side trips to all of the attractions the great State of Michigan has at your disposal. We are less than two hours from Mackinaw Island, an hour from The Traverse City Cherry Festival and The Buckley Gas Engine and Steam show. Minutes from Hartwick Pines and the Wellington Farm Park. There are also Casinos within a short drive of an hour or less. All of these and many other side trips are just minutes away which puts you back at your campsite in plenty of time to enjoy smores over a crackling fire.
