MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND SAVE THE DATE
Next year marks my 20th year of owning and operating Wooded Acres Family Campground. This is a huge milestone and we intend to make it memorable both to us as owners and to you as campers. Click below for more details.
We are looking for a second couple to fill the position of campground host. The position would include bathroom cleaning, limited store sales, and light grounds maintenance. 20 hours per week will reward you with a free campsite for the season. (Utilities not included) Position runs May 1 through September 30. Each couple will clean bathrooms for one week than have one week off while couple number 2 cleans, so the week you have off can be spent traveling, spending time with family, or just goofing off. If you are interested, or you know of someone that might be interested,
give us a call at 989-422-3413

Wooded Acres Campground is located on the outskirts of Houghton Lake. We are located just close enough to town to enjoy all of the hustle and bustle of the stores, shops, craft shows, activities and night life as well as participate in all of the recreation the States largest inland lake has to offer. We are, however, far enough from town to offer you a quiet and peaceful setting amidst a very wooded, rustic setting. Because of our central location, it is just a short trip from home to setup base camp and then take side trips to all of the attractions the great State of Michigan has at your disposal. We are less than two hours from Mackinaw Island, an hour from The Traverse City Cherry Festival and The Buckley Gas Engine and Steam show. Minutes from Hartwick Pines and the Wellington Farm Park. There are also Casinos within a short drive of an hour or less. All of these and many other side trips are just minutes away which puts you back at your campsite in plenty of time to enjoy smores over a crackling fire.
There is always something to do at Wooded Acres and the Houghton Lake Area. Why WAIT, take a Vacation the entire family will enjoy together.
