There is a great need in the church to train
leaders. Here in America we have an abundance of schools and materials to help
train up the next generation of leaders, but many countries do not have the
resources to train leaders. Evangelism has been and continues to be done but
who will train the pastors and leaders that are needed to shepard these new
converts? This is a pressing need in many countries from China to Russia, to
Nicaragua, to Haiti, to India and many other nations.
I thank God for all the people who are willing to go
on short term trips to build churches, to feed the poor, to conduct medical
clinics, and to do other very needed and worthwhile work in the kingdom. But as
one leader of a missions organization told me, "What's the point in building a
church if there is no one qualified to run it?" Titus is committed to help
train pastors and leaders to provide them with biblical materials.
